GCCP's Accord Choir envisions a church that worships the Lord in one accord, from all walks of life and from every generation. Through choral music, we desire to lead the people in worship through singing in the various GCCP Worship Services together with Accord Orchestra.

Ministry Guidelines & Policies.
Submission of your application constitutes agreement to the following guidelines and policies governing the ministry. Please read carefully before signing up.
We believe it’s important that those serving in the church have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; are aligned around our church's vision, mission, and statement of faith; and are willing to be held accountable in matters concerning their relationship with God and others.
Applicants must be:
• College age or older
• A baptized Christian and an active GCCP member of good standing who is regularly attending worship services at GCCP for six months prior to joining the ministry.
• Able to fulfill the Duties and Responsibilities stated below.
GCCP reserves the right to refuse any registration.
All applicants commit to the following:
Length of Commitment
One Ministry Year (typically from August of the current year to July the next year)
For current Ministry Year 2022-2023, commitment is from January to July of 2023
Rehearsals
Every Saturday, 8:00-10:00 PM
Choral Presentations
• Every third Sunday of the month at both 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM worship services
• Other special events as scheduled
Additionally, choir members are expected to:
• Regularly attend worship services on-site
• Attend rehearsals regularly and on time
• Attend scheduled choral presentations at the worship services (both 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM) and other church events
• Take time to learn songs before coming to rehearsal. (Audio demos and music sheets are provided ahead of time)
• Take part in choral trainings and workshops
• Help out in different areas within the group, e.g. logistics, creative arts, etc. as needed
• Participate in special programs and activities of the church (e.g. Easter, Christmas, and Anniversary programs, etc.)
For the health and safety and well-being of everyone, those who are showing Covid-like symptoms or are obviously sick will not be allowed to join the rehearsals or serve on scheduled Sundays.
In the event of a situation requiring medical attention, participant grants permission for necessary medical treatment to be given to him/her, including taking him/her to the nearest physician, dentist, or to the hospital.
Participant understands that unanticipated situations and problems that are beyond the control of the organizers, volunteers, and staff can arise on any event/activity, church-sponsored or otherwise, and therefore agree to release and hold harmless GCCP and its Coordinators, Volunteers, and Staff from any and all liability, claims, costs, interest, and expense arising from such situations, including any accident or injury, sickness, hospitalization, or other incidents beyond the control of GCCP, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil disturbances, and health issues that may arise during and/or as a result of his/her participation in ministry activities.
During ministry activities, GCCP may take photo, video, and audio recordings of participants for documentation purposes.
All participants grant GCCP permission to use, publish, replicate, and distribute these recordings for any legal use, including but not limited to promotional materials, print and digital publications, social media, website, and/or other media channels. They also agree to waive any rights of compensation and/or ownership of any photos, videos, and/or other media taken during ministry activities.

All adults (from college age and older) who are baptized Christians and an active GCCP member of good standing who is regularly attending worship services at GCCP for six months prior to joining are welcome to apply.
Absolutely! You are welcome to join the choir even if you don’t have background in music. We believe that anyone who is willing to put in extra effort can learn and improve. We'd love to help you!
Unfortunately, our volunteer policy does not allow those who are not baptized or not officially-recognized members to serve in our ministries. This is because we believe it’s important that those serving in the church have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; are aligned around our vision, mission, and statement of faith; and are willing to be held accountable in matters concerning their relationship with God and others.

Please get in touch with us to check your membership status. Please note that if you have an inactive status, you may need to reactivate your church membership by attending the Membership Class before you are allowede to join the choir. GCCP's Membershop Policy applies.
No, you don't have to be vaccinated to be able to join. However, please note that if you are sick or exhibiting Covid-like symptoms, you will not be allowed to join rehearsals or other ministry activities.
